Seven Revelations Of The Holy Spirit

There are seven divine truths regarding the flow of oil and how it should affect your life. They are all found in Psalm 89 and these revelations are not limited to what God wants to pour into you. He also desires that the anointing flow from you.

First. The anointing strengthens you.
“I have found David my servant; with my sacred oil I have anointed him, my hand will sustain him; surely my own arm will strengthen him.” – Psalm 89:20-21. The anointing gives you the energy and the authority to stand against every enemy. The Lord wants you to have strength in the power of his might.

Second. You cannot be touched by the power of the enemy.
“No enemy shall subject him to tribute, no wicked man will oppress him.” – Psalm 22. When the anointing is flowing in your life, it is as if you are shielded by a wall of protection. Satan cannot touch you. I believe that even sickness must flee in the presence of the anointing. In Eastern countries, when shepherds want to keep flies from bothering the sheep they rub them with olive oil. Flies always represent demons in scripture. If you want to put Satan and the demonic forces of hell on the run, you need that same oil of protection. The Bible states: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” And “thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” – Psalm 2:1, 5

Third. The enemy will be destroyed and defeated.
“I will crush his foes before him and strike down his adversaries.” – Psalm 89:23. God says if the anointing is active in your life he will decimate the wicked. Through you he will actually destroy demons. Through you he will step on the devil’s face. The Word says God soon will “bruise Satan under your feet” but it only takes place when there is a God given anointing on your life.

Fourth. The anointing establishes your authority.
“My faithful love will be with him, and through my name his horn will be exalted.” – v. 24. The word “horn” speaks of authority. As a Christian there is one name that establishes your authority in the anointing, it is the powerful name of Jesus.

Fifth. You will influence others.

“I will set his hand over the sea, his right hand over the rivers.” – v. 25. Here is the promise that the anointing would begin to flow through David, but it was not for him alone. David was to take God’s touch and influence the world.

Every time the Bible talks about the sea it is really talking about people, and that same promise is to you. What should you do if members of your family are not serving the Lord? Move into the anointing, and I promise you that your home will be influenced. The Bible says that David was anointed “among his brethren”. He influenced his brothers. Later they became some of the mighty men of Israel. At first they mocked him, but then they stood with him. The anointing of the Lord made the difference.

Sixth. God’s love will never leave you.
“I will maintain my love to him forever, and my covenant with him will never fail.” – v. 28. What a promise! The Lord’s abundant mercy will be on you continuously as long as the anointing remains upon you. Remember that God took his mercy off of Saul because he lost the anointing and once it was removed, Saul became possessed by a demon, however, it did not happen to David. Thank God for the oil of the Holy Spirit that keeps God’s love and mercy on our life.

And Seven. The anointing will endure.
“I will establish his line forever, his throne, as long as the heavens endure.” – v. 29. This final promise is the best of all. It is for you and your children, and their children. Do you realize that Christ was in the “line” of David? That means you are included in that same anointing.

It is the anointing in a home that will keep your children aware of God and his presence and should they stray, there is something about an atmosphere with the touch of God that will pull them back. Even if your children are gone, it is never too late to claim an anointing on your home, I’ve seen the Spirit repair and mend families that had been tattered and torn beyond human hope.

Begin right now to claim these seven truths as your own and open your heart to the flow of God’s anointing.

I love you my Jesus, thank you.
