Speaking the Word

Jesus confronted Satan and defeated him by speaking the Word.

God has planed for you to be able to do the same. He has planed for you to confront the enemy, wherever you find him and by speaking the Word destroy his strongholds and conquer him in the power and authority of the Holy Spirit!

God sent forth His Word into the earth and it will not return unto Him void. He has planned for His Word to be in you and as you speak it forth, it will be as a mighty weapon driving the enemy out of your life and circumstances.

As you speak God’s Word, it will be as God promised Jeremiah the prophet… A devouring flame against the enemies of God: “Because ye speak this Word, behold, I will make my Words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.” – Jeremiah 5:14

As you speak forth Gods Word, it will be as a crushing hammer breaking down the obstacles and hindrances Satan has placed in your way: “Is not my Word like as a fire? Sayith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in peaces?” – Jeremiah 23:29

God, who is a God of plan, purpose, design and objectivity, has planned for you to be conformed… transformed by His Spirit… into the express image of Christ. – Romans 8:29

He has planned for you to think, walk, talk and act as Jesus did while he was on this earth,
He has planned for you to speak the Word and see blind eyes open!
To speak the Word and see the lame walk!
To speak the Word and see deaf ears open!
To speak the Word and see tongues loosed!
To speak the Word and see demons obey!
Too speak the Word and see the dead rise to life!

This is your heritage as a son of a living God!

You may be thinking, Jesus was able to open blind eyes, caused the lame to walk and raise the dead just by speaking the Word because he was the Son of God. But, this is no more true of Jesus than it is of you and me. Through Christ, we have been made sons and daughters of God and are trusted with the same power and authority. Yes, he was the Son of God but he did not draw upon his divine abilities to heal the sick and cast out demons. When he came to earth, he humbled and striped himself of his ability to be all-powerful, all-knowing and everywhere present. He was still divine but he was God in the flesh. Jesus taught, healed the sick, cleansed the leapers and raised the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit, God anointed him with the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:16) And sent him forth to destroy the works of the devil. While he was still on earth, Jesus sent his disciples out in the power and authority of his name. He commanded them (to) heal the sick, cleans the leapers, raise the dead, cast out devils: “Freely ye have received, freely give.” – Matthew 10:8

They returned rejoicing, saying, “Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.” – Luke 10:17. They received a breakthrough of revelation knowledge of the power and authority Jesus had given them through his name. Now, let me ask you a question; do you think Jesus would have sent them forth and commanded them to do something they were not capable of doing?

Jesus gave them his power and authority and sent them forth in this name. They did not go in their own natural strength. They did not speak the word of healing and deliverance by their own power. They simply acted in faith upon the words Jesus had spoken to them and it was done!

“So shall my Word be that goith forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” – Isaiah 55:11
